The DGS Cross Country community is proud to see a couple 2014 alums taking their running careers to the next level.

Four-year track and CC runner, 3-time Varsity All-Conference, and 2012 MVP David Fish will be heading to Carthage College this fall.  David has been a mainstay of the program for the past four years where his hard work transformed him into one of the top runners in DGS history.  He has a personal best 15:25 for 3 miles, as well as, 9:49 in the 3200 and 4:32 in the 1600... All times that would have been even better if not for unfortunate injuries throughout his senior season.

Four-year track and two-season CC runner, Jacob Amiri will be heading to the University of Chicago this fall, where he will continue competing in both CC and track.  Despite his brief stint as a CC runner, Jacob is one of only two individual WSC Gold Conference champions in CC since 2001 after winning the title last fall.  He also has 7 Conference championships to his credit in track in events including the 4x400 relay, 600m, 800m, and 1600m.  His personal best 3 mile was 15:07 and he also had PRs of 1:55.8 in the 800 and 4:27 in the 1600m.
